The Oakland Century Lodge will
present its 22nd annual spirit of
B'nai B'rith and Scholarship
Awards June 21 at 8 p.m. at the
Adat Shalom Synagogue.
Max Sosin, active in many civic
and Jewish charities, will be the
honoree. Mr. Sosin has been
president of Congregation B'nai
David, active member of the Zion-
ist Organization of America and
longtime member of the Variety
Club participating in many pro-
grams for the needy.
The program will include the
awarding of scholarships to Jew-
ish students whose achievements
indicate future commitment to
the community. The awards will
be given in the name of three de-
parted friends and brothers by
members of their families: Her-
man Bohm, presented by wife
Ada Bohm; Albeit Pitt, presented
by brother, Irving Pitt; and Sid-
ney Schwartz, presented by
Doree Schwartz and Marilyn
Streit, daughters.
A dessert buffet will follow the
