Metro Hillel
Events Set

On May 21 from 10 p.m.-1 a.m.,
Hillel of Metro Detroit will pre-
sent Roller Blading/Mini Golf at
U.S. Blades in West Bloomfield.
The reduced price will cover the
cost of the roller blades, protec-
tive gear, mini golf and refresh-
ments. For information, call
577-3459 and ask for Neil
Gottheil.
There will be no Pick-Up Bas-
ketball on May 17 or June 7.
These game dates have been
changed to May 24 and June 14.
Other games will be held May 24,
June 21 and July 5 and 19. Hil-
lel of Metro Detroit's 18-30 Male
Pick-Up Basketball is open to
anyone and there is no charge.
Games are from 8-10 p.m. at the
Jimmy Prentis Morris Jewish
Community Center.

Bais Chabad
Israel Program

Bais Chabad Torah Center in-
vites university students to spend
one month during the summer in
Israel as part of the Israel Ex-
press Summer Program. The pro-
gram, which is stationed in the
old city of Jerusalem, provides
the opportunity to explore the
land of Israel and at the same
time expose the students to clas-
sical Jewish works.
The goal of the program, di-
rected by James Oppenheim, is
to increase Jewish awareness.
Scholarships are available. The
program is the recipient of a
grant from the Joseph Gutnick
Foundation.
