as a co-chair of the Civil Rights
Commission.

has photographs in the Cran-
brook Institute of Science exhib-
it "What About AIDS?" David
was recipient of a Robert F.
Kennedy Journalism Award for
the pictures in the exhibit.

LIDA MOLNAR, Washtenaw
County JCC vice president for
finance, is a recipient of a na-
tional JCC Association New
Leadership Award.

REBECCA MORGAN, a Michi-
gan State University senior ma-
joring in international relations,
has been named the recipient of
the MSU Jewish Faculty and
Staff Association's award to an
outstanding senior in the Jewish
Studies Program. Ms. Morgan., of
West Bloomfield, will receive a
$200 prize.

Machon L'Torah, the Jewish
Learning Netowork of Michigan,
will honor Dr. Milton and Lois
Shiffman with the Jewish Conti-
nuity Award at Machon's annu-
al banquet June 1 at the Plaza
Hotel in Southfield. It will mark
Machon's 14th anniversary.
The award will be presented
to the Shiffmans for their dedi-
cation, involvement, and concern
on behalf of Jewish education.
Their recent grant towards Ma-
chon L'Torah's new Jewish Re-
source Center in Ann Arbor
pioneered the lauching of a cam-
paign to realize the plans of this
vital project. The facility's lecture
hall will be dedicated in honor of
Dr. Milton and Lois Shiffman.
Reservations for the June din-
ner can be made by calling the
Machon L'Torah office, 967-0888.

Leads Session

Rabbi Elliot Pachter, spiritual
leader of Congregation B'nai
Moshe, will lead the Conserva-
tive Movement Torah Study
12:30 p.m. May 19 at the Max M.
Fisher Building. The study ses-
sion is sponsored by the Michi-
gan Region of the United
Synagogue of Conservative Ju-
daism, the Michigan Region
Rabbinical Assembly, the Jewish
Theological Seminary.
Study sessions are held every
