Kurutin is president of Detroit
Metropolitan High Schools
Mathematics and Computer
Club, member of Scholars Plus
and recipient of the Madame
Curie Award. She is a volunteer
at JARC and played varsity vol-
leyball. This summer she is go-
ing to Japan for an exchange
program and will attend college
of engineering at University of
Michigan.

Lockman is a member of the
National Honor Society, won the
Cornell Book Award and is cap-
tain of his Quiz Bowl team. He
earned eight varsity letters in
cross country, swimming and
track, and was awarded three
Coaches Awards. He is general
vice president of the Young Peo-
ple's Society of Temple Beth El
and has volunteered with the
Student Conservation Associa-
tion. He plans to study chemistry
and physics at Swarthmore Col-
lege.

Miller is a National Merit com-
mended scholar, winner of a Uni-
versity of Michigan Regents-
Alumni scholarship, co-president
of junior and senior classes, two-
year AZA member and played
varsity basketball. He will attend
the University of Michigan.

Miller is a member of the Na-
tional Honor Society, Phi Beta
Kappa, president of art club and
tutors elementary students. He
received an honorable mention
in the CHAIM Holocaust essay
contest. He will attend Central
Michigan University where he
was awarded a board of trustees
scholarship.

Mirkes was named top male
Spanish student, runner-up for
the Chancellor's Scholarship at
the University of Michigan-Dear-
born. He received scholarship of-
fers from Oakland University,
and accepted Wayne State Uni-
versity's Presidential Scholar-
ship and plans to study
psychology in WSU's honors pro-
gram.

Mondrusov is a member of the
AIDS Awareness Association,
Students Against Driving
Drunk, president of BHS Com-
puter Club, Phi Beta Kappa,
qualifier for the final round and
one of the top scorers in the
Michigan Mathematics Prize
Competition, co-captain of BHS
Knowledge Master Open Com-
petition team, and member of the
Detroit Metro Math and Corn-
puter Club. He plans to attend
General Motors Institute.

Nye is class valedictorian, co-ed-
itor of the yearbook, member of
the National Honor Society and
Environmental Club. He has tu-
tored elementary students, pack-
aged food for the needy, and
received Oak Park High's Acad-
emic Letter. He is on the national
honor roll of the United States
Achievement Academy. He plans
to attend Wayne State Univer-
sity on a presidential scholarship.

Order is a member of the Na-
tional Honor Society and the
yearbook staff. She ranked
fourth in her class. She volun-
teered with Jewish War Veter-
ans and at Grace Hospital. She
will attend Eastern Michigan
University and plans to major in
neo-natal nursing.

Pone is Phi Beta Kappa and sec-
retary of the National Honor So-
ciety. She's appeared in six
musicals and plays and sings
with the Starlettes and Girls En-
semble. She is former vice pres-
ident of SADD, an intern at TV
10, a member of Math League
and Shira BBG. She plans to at-
tend the University of Michigan
and study medicine.

North Farmington

Berkley

Rabinovitz was a varsity cheer-
leader for three years, and re-
ceived the MVP award and three
Bear of the Year awards for high-
est G.P.A. on the team. She is a
member of Spanish Club, Na-
tional Honor Society, Spanish
National Honor Society, Phi Beta
Kappa and participated in two
school musicals. She will attend
the University of Michigan.
