dent Caucus and treasurer of her
senior class. She played varsity
tennis and volleyball.

Harris, Phi Beta Kappa, is a
Scholars Plus scholar, a U-M Re-
gents-Alumni Scholarship re-
cipient, Observer and Eccentric
academic all-star, National Mer-
it commended scholar, Detroit
Free Press academic all-star,
WXYZ's "Best and Brightest,"
academic all-league in tennis, na-
tional board member for Young
Judaea, vice president of the A.P.
Physics Club and yearbook edi-
tor. He plans to attend Cornell
University.

IAkson, summa cum laude, is
is a member of the Congression-
al Forum, secretary of National
Honor Society, president of
French Honor Society and
French Club, Phi Beta Kappa,
winner of the Lawrence Tech
Writing Contest in the essay cat-
egory, member of the Future
Problem Solving '93-'94 state
champion team, and nominee for
a U-M Regents-Alumni Scholar-
ship. He plans to attend the Uni-
versity of Michigan honors
college.

Kaplan is a member of the Na-
tional Honor Society, Phi Beta
Kappa, varsity gymnastics, stu-
dent council secretary, president
of the Youth Federation of Tem-
ple Israel, recipient of Kutz Lead-
ership Academy Sisterhood
Scholarship and a Spanish Mer-
it Award. She plans to attend the
University of Michigan and
study pre-medicine.

Katzman is a member of the
National Honor Society, Phi Beta
Kappa andyecipient of the Ad-
vanced Placement Scholar
Award. He received an intern-
ship, and is currently employed
with Ford Motor Company. Josh
is also the winner of a U.S. Army
three-year Advanced Designee
ROTC Scholarship and plans to
attend Northwestern Universi-

Kelman is a member of the Na-
tional Honor Society and Phi
Beta Kappa, co-captain of the
varsity softball team and also

ketball. She was recently named
MHSSCA Academic All-State.
She is treasurer of Disraeli BBG.
She will attend the University of
Michigan.

Country Day

Kessler placed 26th nationally
in the Citizen Bee, won the Dart-
mouth Book Prize, the NCTE
Writing Award and a Free Press
Writing Award of Excellence. He
is captain of the state champi-
on Quiz Bowl team, features ed-
itor of the Day Times, is active in
debate, baseball and drama, and
is a National Merit scholar. He
plans to attend Duke.

Oak Park

Kohn is secretary of the Na-
tional Honor Society, yearbook
staff member, won first place in
the Science Fair in chemistry,
Oak Park Youth Assistance
Award, certificate of merit from
Art Fair, State of Michigan mer-
it certificate. She volunteered at
Grace Hospital and the Jewish
Community Center. She will
study nursing at Wayne State
University.

Beth Jacob

Kohn is a Phi Beta Kappa, re-
cipient of a Wayne State Uni-
versity Presidential Scholarship
and qualifies for the Michigan
Competitive Scholarship Award.
She is the director of the school
drama. She plans to attend Bnos
Chava Seminary in Jerusalem
in the fall.

Walled Lake Western

Kovsky is a member of Nation-
al Honor Society, Phi Beta Kap-
pa, winner of Young Israel's
Horowitz Scholarship, active in
BBYO, participated in Project
Discovery and March of the Liv-
ing. She plans to attend Hebrew
University and Barnard.
