JPM Seniors
Set Calendar

On April 25, 1 p.m. at the JPM
JCC the "Grand Generation"
will highlight and celebrate the
positive side of aging through
short stories, poems and one-
liners. There is no charge.
On April 26 at 1 p.m. at JPM,
Dr. Phyllis Beaver will show a
movie and discuss the Ameri-
can Red Mogen Dovid for Israel.
There is no charge.
A Tag B'Omer/Dor L'Dor pic-
nic is set for April 28 at 1 p.m.
at JPM. Bring a brown bag,
kosher lunch. Dessert and a
beverage will be provided.

On May 4 a bus will leave
JPM at 10:15 a.m. for
Maple/Drake for a docent tour
of an exhibition of "Local

munity Center will hold its dis-
cussion group "Let's Talk
Movies" 1 p.m. April 26. The
movie to be reviewed will be In
The Name of the Father. See the
film on your own, then join this

The Low Vision Support
Group of Maple/Drake will meet
12:30 p.m. April 27. A commu-
nity police officer will offer tech-
niques and strategies to reduce
chances of personal violations
in and out of the home.
The lunch and learn series
will present Rabbi Albert M.
Lewis of Temple Emanuel of
Grand Rapids May 4 at
Maple/Drake. Rabbi Lewis, as-
sociate professor of psychology
and gerontology at Aquinas Col-
lege and Western Michigan
University, will speak on "Jew-
ish Spirituality." Lunch is at
noon; bring a kosher lunch or
buy one from the cafeteria. Lec-
ture is at 12:30 p.m. No charge
to members who register.
Maple/Drake and West
Bloomfield Parks and Recre-
ation offer a trip to the Mason-
ic Temple to see the Cinderella
ballet performed by the Michi-
gan Opera Theatre 10 a.m. per-
formance May 6. There is a
charge.
Celebrate Israel Indepen-
dence Day with Ellen
Sandwpigs; at Maple/Drake May
2 at 1 p.m.
