Ritual Items
At Gallery

"Feast of Freedom," the exhib-
it of Passover ritual items from
around the world, may be
viewed on the main level of the
Janice Charach Epstein Muse-
um/Gallery through April 14.
Curated by \Anita Pious, this ex-
hibit contains rare seder and
matzah plates and covers, Eli-
jah cups, and other objects used
in the celebration of Passover.
Examples of Haggadot by fa-
mous artists such as Agam and
Chagall are included in the ex-
hibit. On display also is an ex-
tensive collection of Haggadot
with versions printed in Braille
and Chinese, special needs Hag-
gadot for vegetarians, feminists,
Haggadot for children and those
printed in memory of the Holo-
caust.
The upper level of the gallery
features "Written with Light,"
a one man exhibit highlighting
Eric Freedman's innovative col-
or photographs of Israel.

Museum/Gallery is located in
the Jewish Community Center
of Metropolitan Detroit, 6600
West Maple Road. Gallery
hours are Sunday, 11 a.m.-4
p.m., Monday-Wednesday, 11
