another year's model seder,
Nancy and her classmates from
grades three through seven took
a walk — through the Hag-
gadah.
Six stations were set in the
social hall of Adat Shalom:
Charoset Around The World,
B'Dikat Chametz: The Search
for Leaven, The Seder Plate,
The Four Questions, Haggadah
Scavenger Hunt and Matzah
(also offering a sampling which
included whole wheat, onion,
tea, egg, regular and shmurah
from Israel).
Students spent 15 minutes
at each location, learning more
about Pesach traditions.
`The idea is that each station
is a hands-on, experiential way
to explore the Haggadah," said

Ron Leff, education director.
"The students are already learn-
ing much of this in their class-
rooms. This is the opportunity
for them to take the next step.
"-Maybe they'll enjoy b'dikat
chametz, as they learn to look
for leaven with a candle, wood-
en spoon and feather, and want
to do it at home. We're rein-
forcing classroom teaching."
The Four Questions station
ran like a quiz game. The scav-
enger hunt sent students into
their minds, rather than the
building, for answers to put to
paper.
"I like going to the different
stations. It's much better than
just sitting. Besides, we didn't
get to try all these different
foods before," said Danielle
Gursky, a fourth-grader.
Younger students, grades
kindergarten through second,
and their parents created Pe-
sach wilderness kits. Included
in the kits' nine items was a
map ("to help you find your
way"), unleavened trail mix ("a
snack to enjoy between servings
of manna"), salt ("for dipping
kazpas or for dehydration") and
