On Feb. 14, singles will gather
for a Valentine's get-together,
"Laugh If You're Single" Corn-
edy Night at Mark Ridley's
Comedy Castle in Royal Oak.
Along with a show featuring
three comedians — Tiisa Goich,
Brad Nelson and Marge Tack-
es — the evening will include
an hour-long cocktail reception
before the show, games, prizes,
drink specials.
The pre-show cocktail recep-
tion begins at 7:30 p.m. Show-
time is 8:30 p.m. Drinks are not
included in the price of admis-
sion.
Advanced reservations are
preferred since seating is lim-
ited, and can be made by call-
ing the Comedy Castle,

Temple Emanu-El, 14450 West
10 Mile Road, Oak Park, will
host the Singles Shabbat ser-
vice 8:30 p.m. Feb. 11. The
speaker during the Oneg Shab-
bat will be Margaret Weiner,
associate executive director of
Detroit's Jewish Family Ser-
vices and adjunct assistant pro-
fessor of psychiatry at Wayne
State University Medical
School.
The community-wide Singles
Shabbat services are made pos-
sible by a grant from the Max
M. Fisher Foundation of De-
troit's Jewish Welfare Federa-
tion. It is offered by the
Michigan Board of Rabbis, in
cooperation with The Jewish
News and the Jewish Commu-
nity Center.

Piano Concert

The Oak Park Arts and Cul-
tural Commission will pre-
sent a family musical
program 7:30 p.m. Feb. 6 in
the Oak Park Library. Per-
forming will be Bob Milne, a
professional pianist special-
izing in ragtime, boogie-woo-
gie and the player-piano
styles of the turn of the cen-
tury.
