HISTORY LIBRARY TOUR SET
The Jewish Genealogical Society of Michigan will tour the Bloomfield
Family History Center Feb. 1 at 7:30 p.m. The center is a branch of the
Family History Library of the Mormon Church, one of the Largest repos-
itories of Genealogical Data in the world.
The Family History Center is located in the Bloomfield Stake of the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 425 N. Woodward, north-
west of Quarton Road and south of Lone Pine Road, in Bloomfield Hills,

The annual observance of Hebrew Free
Loan Sabbath will take place on Shabbat
Mishpatim, Feb. 4/5. Synagogues
throughout the United States and Cana-
da are expected to mark this occasion es-
tablished by the Association of Hebrew
Free Loans.
The Torah portion for this Sabbath in-
structs Jews "not to exact interest
from the needy." It is this injuction
which serves as the cornerstone for
today's Free Loan agencies.
