CONCERT FEATURING:

Challah-Days: will take place 11
a.m.-1 pin. Jan. 21 and Feb. 4 at
the Applebaum Jewish Parent-
ing Center. There is a fee.
Kitchen Table is mornings for
moms and their babies, birth
through 15 months at the Par-
enting Center. The series will in-
clude developmental stages,
infant CPR, dealing with health
issues, making decisions as a par-
ent, incorporating Jewish cele-
brations, and songs to share with
your baby. The sessions are: 9:30-
11 a.m. for Kitchen Table I Jan.
19-March 2 (no class Feb. 16); or
Kitchen Table II Jan. 20-March
3 (no class Feb. 17); 7-8 p.m. Jan.
25-March 8 (no class Feb. 15).
There is a fee. Call Kimberly
Steinberg, 681-5353, to reserve
a place.
You Gotta Have Art, a par-
ent-child workshop, is for Mom
or Dad and 3-5-year-old chil-
dren Jan. 20-March 3 (no class
Feb. 17) from 7:45-7:30 p.m.
There is a fee.
Elissa Rosenfeld will discuss
why children misbehave and
will present techniques to help
solve these problems in Mensch
Making — S.T.E.P. Systemat-
ic Training for Effective Par-
enting Jan. 24-March 21 (no
class Feb. 14) from 9-10:30 am.
All materials are provided.
Parenting — The First 100
Days will be lead by Rabbi Ir-
win Groner, Rabbi William Ger-
shon, Elissa Rosenfeld, Dr.
Roger Silverstein, pediatrician;
and Sherri Glassman, lactation
specialist, Jan. 26-Feb. 9 from
7:30 - 9 p.m. There is a fee.
Hows and Whys of Jewish
tradition at Celebration Series
will be Jan. 30, Feb. 6 and 27
from 10-11:30 am. Each session
will include holiday informa-
tion, home celebration skills and
hands-on experiences and re-
sources. There is no fee for
members of Congregation
Shaarey Zedek.

Torah Center
Plans Lectures

Bais Chabad Torah Center in-
vites the public to a lecture on
the Torah portion of the week
by Rabbi Elimelech Silberberg
on 8:15 p.m. Jan. 17 at the
Torah Center. The talk will in-
clude a discussion on "The
Function Of Music In Jewish
Tradition."
The Torah Center also in-
vites the public to a Jan. 19
night 8:00 p.m. lecture on the
Siddur at the Torah Center.
The lectures are being given by
Marty Goodman.
