Rabbi Yeruchim Olshin of Beth
Medrash Govoha will be hon-
ored at a reception at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Nus-
baum, 15041 Burton, Oak Park,
8:30 p.m. Jan. 18.
The speaker will be Rabbi
Menachem Zupnik of Kehal
Bais Torah. He is the founder
of Meor HaTorah, a Kiruv pro-
ject on the campus of Princeton
University. He has just com-
pleted a series of abridged tapes
of his lectures.

Classes For
New Americans

Friends of Refugees of Eastern
Europe will hold bi-monthly
classes for new Americans every
second and fourth Thursday of
the month. Classes will be at
the Jimmy Prentis Morris Jew-
ish Community Center from
7:30-8:30 p.m.
Instructor Sorah Rosen will
teach Jewish history and phi-
losophy, using ESL methods
and simple English texts. For

ter. The program will include a
deli dinner which will be fol-
lowed by a discussion on the
topic of "Body and Soul: Gate-
way to Self-Knowledge" led by
Rabbi Avraham Jacobovitz. The
talk will be translated by Mr.
Roman Lundin.
