Maple/Drake Jewish Community

Center, the first ever Social Action

Day will take place. And the only

cost to attend is one can of food.

Something you can easily grab from

the cupboard on your way over.

Your donation will be passed on to

an emergency food provider in

the area. So basically you'll be

helping others before you even walk

in the door. Of course, once you're

inside more than thirty social

service agencies will be there to

provide you with information

and volunteer opportunities.

In addition, there will be

seminars focusing on critical issues

such as hunger, homelessness and

the environment. And Danny Siegel,

nationally renowned author and

lecturer, will share his thoughts on

the value of community service.

Please make plans to attend. And

remember—bring a can of food.

With it, you'll be feeding more than

just the hungry. You'll be feeding

your desire for a better world.
