Sinai Program
For Survivors

Sinai Hospital of Detroit will
start a new program for Holo-
caust survivors and their fam-
ilies. Sinai Hospital has hired
psychologist Dr. Charles Silow
to be the director of the new pro-
gram. Dr. Silow completed his
doctoral research in the area of
post-traumatic stress disorder
and Holocaust survivors and
their families.
The program will offer sup-
port groups and individual ther-
apy for Holocaust survivors and
their families. Two, 12-week
groups for survivors will begin
in January. One group will take
place at the Jewish Communi-
ty Center in Oak Park, the oth-
er group will take place at the
Jewish Community Center in
West Bloomfield. The groups
are called the "Zusammen Kim-
men and Redden groups" or
"Coming together and talking
groups."

the new program are asked to

Israel Bonds
Hosts Evening

The Metro Detroit New Lead-
ership Division of State of Israel
Bonds will host an evening of
entertainment and dining 6
p.m. Jan. 26 at the Second City
Theatre Complex.
Reservation deadline is Jan.
19. There is a charge for ad-
mission, which includes a cock-
tail buffet dinner, the perfor-
mance, valet parking and an
open bar. For reservations and

JCC Expands
Health Club

The Maple-Drake Jewish Com-
munity Center Health Club is
expanding the facility and pro-
gram offerings.
The Sinai cardiovascular
room will be converted into the
new fitness room. The existing
free-weight and stretching room
will have additional cardiovas-
cular equipment.
