— The leadership of the
United Synagogue of Con-
servative Judaism is hoping
to bring the movement's
various organizational bran-
ches closer together so that
they work in a more unified
fashion than they have in
the past.
United Synagogue is the
congregational arm of the
movement.
The movement's other
organizational branches,
which have historically
operated quite independent-
ly from one another, include
the Jewish Theological
Seminary, the Rabbinical
Assembly, the Women's
League for Conservative
Judaism, the Federation of
Jewish Men's Clubs and
Mercaz, the Zionist Action
Organization for Conser-
vative/Masorti Judaism.

separate offices around New
