Lewis will teach skills to cope
with hearing loss. Lynn Root,

at "Aging & Hearing Loss."
Klezmer Tzvei will perform
Dec. 6 at 1 p.m.at Maple-
Drake. Refreshments will be
served. Free to members.

Plans Outreach
The Middle Years Group of
Temple Beth El will celebrate
Chanukah 12:30 p.m. Dec. 12,
with songs, latkes and outreach
to the residents of Borman Hall.
atkes will be followed by a pro-
gram of jazz standards and
Chanukah favorites from clas-
sical jazz guitarist, Russ Siegel.
Brotherhood members will
transport the residents to the
temple. No reservations are nec-
essary for the program, but
there is a food charge.
On Dec. 21, Corinne
Stavish, storyteller, will en-
tertain members and guests
of the Beth Elders at a noon
luncheon. She will be telling
tales with a Chanukah flavor.
Luncheon reservations are
necessary; there is a charge.

Columnist Talks
On Politics
"Politics in Michigan and De-
troit" will be the topic of a talk
given by Hugh McDiarmid 1
p.m. Dec. 8 at the Maple-Drake
Jewish Community Center. The
talk is sponsored by the Gener-
al Jewish Problems Group of
the Institute for Retired Pro-
fessionals.
Hugh McDiarmid is a
columnist for the Detroit Free
Press and writes about local
and 'tate politics. The event
is open to the public at no
