Western immigrants to Israel
will be the focus of this week's
education of "Jerusalem On-
Line," an English-language
news show that brings to De-
troit an Israeli perspective on a
variety of issues.
The first segment will fea-
ture Kalman Grossman of the
Jewish Agency for Israel's
Aliyah Department; Nick
Aladef, president of the South
African Zionist Federation,
who will review the back-
ground and experiences of
olim (immigrants) from West-
ern Europe, North America
and South Africa.
The weekly television news
magazine, moderated by
Michael Greenspan, former
Cable News Network Jeru-
salem correspondent, is taped
in Israel and broadcast on
several suburban cable net-
works and around Michigan.
The half-hour interview
show can be seen: 1 p.m.,
Sunday; on Channels 11 and
47 on Continental Cable in
Oak Park, Southfield and
West Bloomfield; 1 p.m. Sun-
day, Channel 63 on TCI in
Huntington Woods, Ferndale
and Royal Oak; and 9 pm.
Monday, 4:30 p.m. Wednes-
day, and 10 a.m. Friday on
Channel 11 on Booth in Birm-
ingham, Franklin, Beverly
Hills and Bingham Farms.

JET Stages
`The Price'

The Price, Arthur Miller's dra-
ma, will run Dec. 1-26 at the
Jewish Ensemble Theatre.
It is a play about two
brothers who have been es-
tranged for 16 years and
must now meet to dispose of
their father's belongings.
The Price previews Dec. 1.
Discount preview perfor-
mances are Dec. 1, 2 and 4 at
8 p.m. and Dec. 5 at 2 p.m.
Regular performances begin
on Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. Wednes-
day, Thursday and Saturday
performances are 8 p.m. Sun-
day matinees 2 p.m. and Sun-
day evenings at 7 p.m. A
signed performance for the
hearing impaired will be Dec.
19 courtesy of the Area
Agency on Aging.
