Israeli Show
On Cable TV

The Clinton administration and
the peace process will be the fo-
cus of this week's edition of
"Jerusalem On-Line," an Eng-
lish-language news show that
brings to Detroit an Israeli per-
spective on a variety of issues.
The first segment will feature
Dr. Kenneth Stein, a political
scientist at Emery University,
who specializes in peace and
conflict and Middle Eastern
studies and American politics.
The weekly television and
news magazine, moderated by
Michael Greenspan, former Ca-
ble News Network Jerusalem
correspondent, is taped in Israel
and broadcast on several sub-
urban cable networks and
around Michigan.
This week's episode also will
feature a report on Israel's
Bedouin population and their
status as Bedouins or Arabs
during the peace process. It will
include interviews with Meiron
Chumesh, who specializes in
Bedouin studies, and Dr. Clin-
ton Bailey, an expert on Arab-
Israeli relations and professor
at Tel Aviv University who has
written Jordan's Palestinian
Challenge and Bedouin Poetty

Temple Music
Concert Set

The second annual Music At
The Temple concert will take
place at Temple Kol Ami 3 p.m.
Nov. 14 Samuel Thaviu, violin-
ist; Nadia Marks, harpist; and
Pauline Martin, pianist, will
present the program.
Mr. Thaviu, a former con-
certmaster of the Pittsburgh
Symphony and the Cleveland
Orchestra, is professor of strings
at Northwestern University in
Evanston, Ill. Ms. Marks, a
graduate of the Curtis Institute
of Music, will play a group of
compositions for solo harp. Ms.
Martin is well-known through
appearances in this area. She
is a member of the St. Clair
