New York — To provide pas-
sengers with the better service,
El Al Israel Airlines has opened
a new check-in facility at Chi-
cago's O'Hare Airport.
The new El Al check-in facil-
ity is located in the far east end
of the upper level. Parking is lo-
cated directly in front of Ter-
minal #5 or at the long-term
parking areas E and F. Pas-
sengers connecting from other
cities can use the free airport
transit system (ATS) monorail
which links other terminals as
well as the long term parking
areas to Terminal #5.
El Al passengers will now
board and exit the aircraft
through modern jetways, rather
than using a shuttle bus.
El Al offers direct service be-
tween Chicago's O'Hare Inter-
national Airport and Tel Aviv
every Monday and Wednesday.

Passengers returning to the
United States go through Cus-
toms and Immigration in Chi-
cago (not in New York) in new,
larger facilities enabling faster
and improved processing.
To increase passenger com-
fort, El Al is currently spending
several million dollars to replace
all the seats in the coach class
sections of its 747 aircraft, pro-
viding extra legroom to each
seat. The changes have already
been made in four 747's and the
remaining 747's will be com-
pleted in 1994.
El Al will receive two new
Boeing 747-400 aircraft in the
spring of 1994 which will be
used for the nonstop United
States-Israel route. Each seat
in coach, business and first class
will have personal TV monitors
and electronic stereo headsets.

Fall In Toronto:
A Cultural Feast

ROSE KLEINER SPECIAL TO THE JEWISH NEWS

F

all is the time when the-
ater, music and exhibits
begin a new season in
Toronto. It is also a
time for many new cultural
events in the Jewish commu-
nity. For singles these events
are a good opportunity to
meet people and to add to
their enjoyment of the city.
For live theater, autumn
still offers a chance to attend
the Stratford Festival

(Antony and Cleopatra, The
Imaginary Invalid, The Mika-
do and other plays continue
into November), in Stratford,

Ontario, and the Shaw Festi-
val (Blithe Spirit, St. Joan),
in Niagara-on-the-Lake. At
the Stratford Festival The-
atre you can enjoy two plays
for the price of one on Tues-
days in the fall.
In the city, you can see
Miss Saigon, the Phantom of

the Opera, Five Guys Named
Moe and Brighton Beach
Memoirs, as well as Show-
boat, which has recently
opened at the new North
York Performing Arts Centre.
The National Ballet of
Canada will perform The
