Richard Jerzy
Exhibition

Richard Jerzy, artist and head
of the painting department at
Center for Creative Studies in
Detroit, will have a compre-
hensive exhibition of his oil on
masonite and mixed medium
on paper paintings at the Ru-
biner Gallery in West Bloom-
field. The show, consisting of
over 40 paintings of gardens, in-
teriors, and figurative pieces,
will continue through Dec. 1.
Richard Jerzy lives and
works in one of the grand his-
toric homes in Indian Village.
Its many rooms, with original
details and careful restoration,
are filled with his collection of
art and antiques.
His series of interior paint-
ings are drawn from these sur-
roundings and objects, which he
constantly rearranges to create
new subjects. The gallery hours
are: Tuesday-Saturday 11 a.m.-
5:00 p.m. and other times by
appointment. Rubiner Gallery
is at 7001 Orchard Lake Rd.,
West Bloomfield, 626-3111.

NOVEMBER 2 1 sT

Park West Gallery will offer for
exhibitions the works of three
international artists extending
through Nov. 20. The exhibit,
titled "A Special Collection," will
include Fanch, Lebadang and
Stepanian.
Fanch provides landscapes
and interiors which seem to
straddle art categories. Ele-
gantly geometrical, the French-
born artist's compositions
celebrate precision and order.
Lebadang's creations display
variations of line, texture and
color. The Vietnamese artist is
a recognized printmaker and
excels in etching lithography
and serigraphy.
Stepanian, of Soviet Armen-
ian heritage, creates images by
using sculpting tools to carve
deep, shimmering, organic tex-
tures, that translate into unique
textugraphs.
