Edward Feigelman

JNF Women
Donor Luncheon

The Women of Jewish Nation-
al Fund will hold their 64th An-
nual Donor Luncheon noon
Nov. 16 at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek.
Cantor Edward S. Feigel-
man, son of Bea and Julius
Feigelman, will be the featured
vocalist. Cantor Feigelman
holds a bachelor of art in music,
a cantorial diploma, and rab-
binical ordination from Yeshi-
va University as well as a
master of arts in music educa-
tion from New York University.
Cantor Feigelman is a high
lyric baritone and has per-
formed in concerts in New York
Ohio, Montreal, Indiana, Wind-
sor and Detroit.
Also included in "Musical
Treasures" will be Sadie Braver,
violinist, and Lillian Zellinan,
pianist. The invocation will be
delivered by Sandy Schore.

Co-op Council
Plans Meeting

The Cooperative Council of the
League of Jewish Women will
hold their meeting 9:30 a.m.
Nov. 4 at the Jewish War Vet-
erans Memorial Home.
Plans will be finalized for the

Plan Meetings

The Junior vice presidents of all
the auxiliaries of the Michigan
Department Ladies Auxiliary
of the JWV will meet 7:30 p.m.
Nov. 10 at the Memorial Home.
The Department of Michigan
Ladies Auxiliary of the Jewish
War Veterans will conduct their
meeting 7:30 p.m. Nov. 3 at the
JWV Memorial Home.

The Volunteer Network of the
Jewish Federation Business
and Professional Women/
Women's Division has opportu-
nities for volunteers to assist
human service agencies in the
metropolitan Detroit area.
Volunteers will help sort and
package clothes and house-
wares for new Americans at the
Resettlement Service Ware-
house Nov. 7. Participants will
carpool at 10:30 a.m. from the
Agency for Jewish Education
Building.
On Nov. 14, the Volunteer
Network will go to Sinai Hos-
pital and visit with patients,
take the gift and library/humor
carts to rooms, assist patients
and visitors in the emergency
room and help serve meals. Vol-
unteers will meet at 10:15 a.m.
at the Agency for Jewish Edu-
cation Building to carpool to
Sinai.
Volunteers will meet and
mingle with mothers and chil-
dren at HAVEN (Help Against
Violent Encounters Now) Coun-
seling Agency Dec. 5. Partici-
pants will meet at 12:30 p.m. at
the Max M. Fisher Building and
carpool to the site.

Ruach Section
Hosts Dinner

Reservations are being taken
for a Jewish Federation Busi-
ness and Professional Women's
Division Ruach Section dinner
on behalf of the 1994 Allied
Jewish Campaign 6 p.m. Nov.
4 at the Teitel Federation
Apartments.
The gathering is open to con-
tributors of $2,000 or more to
the campaign.
The program will include the
presentation of new and used
books and magazines for the
Teitel library.
There will be no announcing
of gifts; there will be a charge
for dinner.

Beth El
Plans Bazaar

The 10th annual holiday bazaar
sponsored by the sisterhood of
Temple Beth El is scheduled for
Nov. 14 at the temple.
Proceeds will benefit sister-
hood projects. Bazaar hours are
10 a.m.-4 p.m. There is an ad-
mission charge.
Light lunches will be avail-
