Harpist Sanders
In Concert
Harpist and vocalist Onita
Sanders will be the featured
performer at Music Study Club
1 p.m. Oct. 19 at Birmingham
Temple. The program begins
with dessert at 12:15 p.m. There
is a charge for guests.
Ms. Sanders' program will
contain classical, contempo-
rary and folk selections, in-
cluding Sephardic songs. Her
repertoire ranges from
Baroque and classical to jazz,
blues and Broadway. As Ms.
Sanders performs on a ped-
al harp, a folk harp and an
electronic harp, she will
demonstrate the use of these
and relate the music to the
instruments.
Ms. Sanders received a de-
gree in music education from
Wayne State University. She
has appeared as a soloist with
the Detroit and Philadelphia
Symphony Orchestras.

Offers Programs
Mentoring Moms is a training
session for experienced moms
who would like to be matched
with a new mom to be a support

Musical Morning
At Adat Shalom
Adat Shalom Synagogue will
sponsor "Name That Tune!"
with Free Press music writer
Gary Graff 11 a.m. Oct. 24 at
the synagogue.
The program is designed for
chavurah members and those
seeking information about
chavurah opportunities at Adat
Shalom. Families are encour-
aged to bring children.
Gary Graff is a graduate of
the University of Missouri. He
also leads the Free Press Bull
Dogs rock 'n roll band.
The musical morning will be-
gin with bagels and beverages.
