the University of Minnesota.

Mitch Albom
On Sports

Mitch Albom will speak at 8
p.m. Sept. 29 at The Birm-
ingham Temple on "Sports in
America: Have Things Gotten
Out of Hand!"
Mr. Albom is the author of
four books. He is a TV sports
reporter and panelist, a radio
sports director, songwriter
and lyricist. Following his ad-
dress, Mitch will field ques-
tions from the audience.

Jewish Detroit
Tour Planned

The Men's Club of Congrega-
tion Beth Achim and
Chavura Aleph will host a
tour of old Jewish Detroit
1-4:30 p.m. Oct. 3.
The tour, which will begin
at the synagogue, will high-
light Jewish neighborhoods,
synagogues and other points
of interest.
There is a charge for the
