Candidates At
Economic Forum

Second Semester 1993/94

The two winning candi-
dates from this week's
Detroit mayoral primary
election will address the
next Economic Forum lun-
cheon, sponsored by the
Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit,
noon Sept. 27 at the
Radisson Hotel in
Southfield.
The program will
include an open forum
with the two candidates.
The Economic Forum is
sponsored by Federation
to promote an interest in
its activities and to dis-
cuss important political,
economic and social
issues.
A sign-language inter-
preter will be present.
There is a charge for the
dairy luncheon. For reser-
vations by Sept. 20 or for
details, call Fern
Hoberman Kepes, 642-
4260.

Family Festival
At Camp Maas

Jewish Experiences for
Families, Fresh Air
Society and The Jewish
News will hold the
"Ultimate Apples &
Honey & Lots, Lots More"
at Camp Maas in
Ortonville Sept. 12 12:30-
4 p.m.
This fall holiday, fami-
ly, free festival includes
family crafts, games,
hayrides, canoeing, shofar
making and sukkah rais-
ing. Special activities for
the older JEFF-aged fami-
ly also will be featured.
Marty Liebman's band
"Koleynu" will play dur-
ing the festivities. Laura
Pershin and Rosalie
Koenig of Ann Arbor will
provide puppets, story-
telling and music to
entertain. Performances
will be at 1:30 and 3 p.m.
Barbeque lunches will be
sold.
The Tamarack Camps
will register children for
summer 1994 camp ses-
sions at 1993 prices.
Limited bus service will
be provided from both
Jewish Community Cen-
ter buildings at noon.
