Machon Plans
New Classes
The new semester of
Machon's evening learning
program Yeshiva-Light, will
begin Aug. 23 at the Learning
Center. The program is
designed for motivated in-
dividuals who wish to further
their understanding and lear-
ning skills of Jewish study.
The study groups will be held
on Monday through Thursday
evenings.
Classes will be led by Rab-
bis Michoel Eisemann,
Menachem Z. Greenfield, Eli
Gordon, Avraham Jacobovitz,
Zelig Lover, Eli Yelin and
Shmuel Zimmerman. Regis-
tration is required. For infor-
mation and registration, call
the Machon office, 967-0888.
Machon Torah will begin
a five-week crash course in
basic Hebrew Aug. 24 at 7:30
p.m. The program is
specifically designed to teach
those with little or no Hebrew
background.
The course will be led by
Jeff Perlstein and will take
place at the Machon Learn-
ing Center. Reservations are
required. For information and
reservations, call the Machon
office.
Outdoor Concert
At Prudential
The Southfield Parks and
Recreation Cultural Arts
Division will present Steve
King and the Dittilies, a
classic rock band in the
Southfield Concerts in the
Park series 7 p.m. Aug. 29.
This free, final concert will
take place a the Prudential
Sunbowl, located behind the
3000 Prudential Town Center,
off Civic Center Drive bet-
ween Evergreen Road and the
Northwestern Highway Ser-
vice Drive.
Concertgoers are advised to
bring lawnchairs or blankets.
