phonic Fantasy,
knows the Pine
Knob Music Thea-
ter, where the
extravaganza will

30 and 31.
For many years and in
many theaters outside
Michigan, Mr. Rosenblatt
worked for the
Nederlander Organization,
the previous owner of Pine
Knob. Because of this con-
nection, he has seen many
performances there and at
the Fisher Theatre.
"I've been affiliated with
many different shows, but
I've never been affiliated
with one that so consis-
tently — no matter where
we go — gets the ovations
and the cheers and the
screams that this show
does every single night,"
said Mr. Rosenblatt, who

The program features
music from classic Disney
films, presented in sym-
phonic style with more
than 200 Disney charac-
ters appearing live. In
Michigan, the AZUSA
Pacific University Choir
will be accompanied by the
Birmingham-Bloomfield
Symphony Orchestra.
Among the films repre-

sented are Fantasia,
Beauty and the Beast,
Mary Poppins, Snow
White, The Little Mermaid
and Aladdin. Live Disney
characters include Mickey
Mouse, Minnie Mouse,
Donald Duck, Pluto, Roger
Rabbit, Aladdin and
Sleeping Beauty.
"We're giving a new
slant to Disney music by
exposing children to a clas-
sic, symphonic orchestra
and also ballet," Mr.

Rosenblatt said. "We hope
this show can serve as
some type of crossover for
even greater experiences
and enjoyment for the chil-
dren as they become aware
of the great composers of
classical music and some
of the great ballet compa-
nies that tour the coun-
try."
