Manor in Southfield
really don't want to
talk about art thera-
py.
They prefer to talk
about their grandchildren
and the gifts they have
made for them — in art
therapy class.
Of course, some of the
products they create dur-
ing their one-hour-a-week
program with Janice
Samoray-Haddad remain
at the nursing home.
Still, Fannie Levin felt
gratified when name cards
and matzah covers she
made were placed on the
tables at her home,
Prentis Manor.
"You get a sense of satis-
faction," says Mrs. Levin,
one of about a dozen
seniors who participate
each week in an art thera-
py program with Ms.
Samoray-Haddad. "It looks
nice to see them on the
table, too."
