Schultz is co-editor of the
school newspaper, member of
National Honor Society and
Phi Beta Kappa. He played
for four years in the
Southfield Hockey Club. He
was a member of AZA. He
received a writing award in
the Optimists Club essay-
writing contest. He plans to
attend the University of
Michigan.
Selfon has been active in the
Groves orchestra as both a
violist and a composer. He is
a member of National Honor
Society and is religious vice
president of Shaarey Zedek
USY. He is a National Merit
Finalist and has been award-
ed the University of Southern
California Trustee Scholar-
ship (full tuition). He will at-
tend USC and work on a dual
degree in computer engineer-
ing and music composition for
film.
Shenkman is a Westing-
house Science Talent Search
semifinalist, three-time first-
place winner in the Detroit
Science Fair, named to Mich-
igan Mathematics Prize Corn-
petition Top 100 in State,
Michigan All-Stars math
team, member of Cum Laude
Society, BBG, Michigan Jun-
ior Classical League state
committee and varsity cheer-
leader. She will attend the
University of Southern Cali-
fornia B.A.-M.D. program.
Sperber is a member of Na-
tional Honor Society and Phi
Beta Kappa. He participated
on the swim team, tennis
team, and was active in AZA.
He was a two-time state final-
ist in the Michigan Math
Competition. He plans to
attend the University of
Michigan, where he will
study engineering.
Spoon is president of the
Student Council and Na-
tional Honor Society board
member. She has been involv-
ed in many of the school's
plays and musicals, including
a part as a lead dancer in
Hello Dolly! She was on the
track team, in SADD, BBG,
president of the Environmen-.
tal Club, and volunteers
regularly at area soup kit-
chens. She will attend the
University of Michigan.

JENNIFER WEISBERG
Stern has been involved with
the soccer, softball and gym-
nastics teams. She has re-
ceived eight superior ratings
from the National Piano Fed-
eration, founded and presided
over an environmental club at
school, and participated in
the Science Bowl. She is a
member of National Honor
Society and USY, and plans to
attend the University of
Michigan.
Stillman, ranked first in his
class, is a member of student
government. He earned a Phi
Beta Kappa scholarship and
was nominated for the U-M
Regents-Alumni Scholarship.
The Farmington Observer
chose him an "academic all-
star," and Channel 7 selected
him as one of "The Best and
Brightest of 93." He will at-
tend the University of
Michigan Honors College.
Tarnow is a member of Na-
tional Honor Society, senior
section editor of the Groves
yearbook and plays violin in
her school orchestra. She is
active in Temple Shir Shalom
youth group and teaches
children how . to figure-skate.
She plans to attend the
University of Michigan.
Tigay, summa cum laude, is
a National Honor Society and
Andover Chamber Singers
member, was secretary and
membership vice president in
USY and participated in Quiz
Bowl, radio, varsity soccer
and the Care and Share Club.
She earned the Smith Book
Award, the Bloomfield Hills
Academic Achievement
Award and is an A.P. Scholar
with honors. She will enter
the University of Michigan
Honors Program.
Weisberg is vice president of
the French Honors Society
and French Club and is a
member of National Honor
Society. She was involved in
varsity tennis and won the
Bear Award last fall. She is
active in Temple Emanu-El
Temple Youth and MSTY. She
will attend the University of
Michigan.
