Rosalie Gerut, singer and
composer, will sing "Songs of
the Jewish Experience" at
Congregation Beth Shalom's
annual Frank Friedman
Memorial Concert 7:30 p.m.
May 23. The free concert is
open to the public and will be
followed by an afterglow,
where concert goers can meet
the artists and enjoy `\
refreshments.
Joining Ms. Gerut, who
plays guitar, will be Andy
Blickenderfer and Jeff
Warschauer on bass and man-
dolin. Performing traditional
and original songs in Hebrew,
Yiddish, Ladino and English
as well as some klezmer in-
strumentals, the group in-
vites the audience to join in
as Ms. Gerut tells stories and
sings.
Ms. Gerut is the cantor of
Temple Kerem Shalom in
Concord, Mass.
Presented under the
auspices of the Beth Shalom
Cultural Commission, the an-
nual Frank Friedman Con-
cert is supported by the Frank
Friedman family, benefactors
sponsors, patrons and friends
of Beth Shalom.
