name. Here are some
memorable moments
from a once-in-a-lifetime
trip:
Having 1,284 Detroiters
plant trees in Israel.
Hearing no complaints;
the trip was well-organized.

Being greeted by Shimon
Peres, minister of foreign
affairs; Teddy Kollek,
mayor of Jerusalem; and
Yitzak Rabin, prime min-
ister. Enjoying the warmth
and hospitality of the
residents of Yavne, Detroit's
Project Renewal neighbor-
hood. Each mission member
had dinner in a home in
Yavne and went to In-
dependence Day celebra-
tions there.
