Children's Leukemia Foun-
dation Of Michigan, a cause
he took on privately after
the disease took the life of a
friend, the late Jill Freed-
man. He was honored at a
recent CLFM luncheon.

ed his partners at Worldwide
Financial Services to con-
tribute a percentage of
profits earned on home loans
to the charity.

Jacob, "He's been so quiet

Orchestra announces its
1993-94 concert schedule.
Subscription tickets are
available for this 65th An-
niversary Season, which
features traditional and
beloved classics along with
fresh new works. All of this
year's performances will be
held in the restored Michigan
Theater.
Dr. Samuel Wong, music
director, will conduct the
opening night performance
Sept. 11.
Oct. 16 the Ann Arbor Sym-
phony Orchestra will present
music based on Shakespeare's
Romeo and Juliet. Celebrate
Chanukah, Kwanza, Christ-
mas and the Chinese New
Year on Dec. 19 as the AASO
presents a family matinee
concert at 4 p.m. and an eve-
ning chorale concert at 8 p.m.
Samuel Wong will lead the
orchestra Jan. 15 in two
works featuring contempo-
rary American composers,
Ellen Zeilich and John Har-
bison. Vladimir Feltsman will
being his talent to the
Michigan Theater Feb. 12.
The AASO will present
New York City Opera
Soprano Ann Benson March
5. The season will end with
the Graduation. Ball April 30.
