when it came time to choose
the new Elvis postage stamp
and, naturally, she has the
Elvis video collection.
Amy Handelman, 9, is in
love. With Elvis.
Amy lives in West Bloom-
field with her parents and
two sisters. She is a student
at Doherty Elementary and
a member of Adat Shalom
Synagogue. Her Hebrew
name is Ilana Rachel.
When not thinking about
Elvis, Amy considers her fu-
ture. She hopes one day to be
"a kindergarten teacher or a
veterinarian or a poet or an
author." She's taking bas-
ketball lessons and can't wait

for next summer, when she'll
attend Camp Tamarack.
"I'm packed already," she

"Well, mostly. I mean I've
