WOLF GOLD
Wolf Gold, 73, died Dec. 5.
He was a three-year sur-
vivor of the Auschwitz death
camp. He came to the
Detroit area in 1948 and
worked as a kosher slaugh-
terer for Feldman Brothers
at Eastern Market. He was
one of the founders of Young
Israel of Greenfield Syn-
agogue, where he was presi-
dent , vice president and
director. After his retire-
ment, Mr. Gold worked with
the Council of Orthodox
Rabbis of Detroit to inspect
kosher goods in butcher
shops and other businesses.
He is survived by his wife,
Felina; son and daughter-in-
law, Henry and Barbara of
Lathrup Village; daughter
and son-in-law, Dorothy
Gold and Dr. James Wolf of
Baltimore, Md.; brother
Menachem Harpaz of
Ashkelon, Israel; sister and
brother-in-law, Zoltka and
Alter Finegold of Jerusalem,
Israel; three grandchildren.
