Elderhostel at Butzel Con-
ference Center beginning
Nov. 15.
Courses include the history,
culture and present status of
Soviet Jewry taught by Dr.
Zvi Gitelman; "Is America
Losing Its Commitment to
Democratic Values?" with
Richard Lobenthal; "The
Middle East : The More
Things Change The More

Support Groups

SPACE for Changing Fami-
lies, a non-sectarian com-
munity service of National
Council of Jewish Women,
will offer a Bereavement
Group at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek Dec. 7, 14, 21
and 28, Jan. 7, 14, 21, 28 and
Feb. 4. The group will meet
7:15-9:30 p.m. Pre-registra-
tion is required.
A Divorced Peer Support
group will meet Monday
nights, Dec. 7, 14, 21 and 29
7:15-9:30 p.m. Pre-registra-
tion is required. A donation is
suggested.
Thursday Drop-in Discus-
sion Groups will meet
December 3 when the topic
will be "How to Meet People";
Dec. 10, open discussion; Dec.
17, "Goal Setting." Because of
the holidays, the sessions for
this group will last three
weeks instead of four. Pre-
registration is not required. A
donation is suggested. Times
for sessions are 7:15-9:30 p.m.
All groups meet at the
SPACE office, 30233 South-
field.
SPACE will offer a program
presented by Lola and Great
Expectations on singles who
want to explore dating ser-
vices as an alternative to
other options. The program is
scheduled for Dec. 13, 1992 at
the SPACE office. Bagels and
coffee will be served at 9:30
a.m.; the program will begin
at 10 a.m. A donation is
suggested.
