The B'nai Moshe LIFE
students and their families
and all B'nai Moshe members
with children in grades K-5
are invited to a Family Kab-
balat Shabbat service and
dinner 6 p.m. Nov. 6 led by
Rabbi Elliot Pachter at the
synagogue.
Storyteller Richard Berg
will spin Shabbat tales after
dinner. Children in grades 2-5
are invited to a sleepover at
the shul; volunteer chaper-
ones are needed.
Following the LIFE pro-
gram and Saturday Shabbat
service, the children will have
lunch, followed by swimming
at the J.C.C. Jeff Levin will
teach songs and dancing
along with the Minchah ser-
vice. Dinner and Havdalah
services will follow.

creative workshop for
preschoolers and their
families titled "Thanksgiving
is Todah Day" 6:30-7:45 p.m.
Nov. 11 at the synagogue.
Families will work together
to create keepsake books,
holiday treats, and Thanks-
giving table centerpieces.
Participants will get to view
live turkeys and hear
storytelling and music from
Margaret Schmidt, "The
Turkey Lady."
There is no charge for the
program, but all families are
required to bring one can or
box of kosher food for Yad
Ezra. For reservations by Nov.

The Temple Emanu-El
Library Advisory Committee
will kick off the second an-
nual Sefer Stars Jewish
reading program Nov. 1 in an-
ticipation of Jewish Book
Month, which begins Nov. 24.
The theme of this year's
program is "Read and the
World Will Be Yours!" After
reading a book by a Jewish
author and/or with Jewish
content, students and
teachers make a record of the
book in the student's Sefer
Stars record book.
