Candidate Forum
Oct. 5 at JCC

Simcha Plans
For October

The Jewish Community
Center will host a public
forum, "Decision 1992:
Oakland County Govern-
ment," 11 a.m. Oct. 5 at the
Maple-Drake building.
This forum will present the
candidates for the positions of
Oakland County prosecutor,
executive and sheriff. The
forum will be moderated by
the League of Women Voters
Oakland Area and will be
sign interpreted for the hear-
ing impaired. Bus transporta-
tion is available from the
Center's Jimmy Prentis Mor-
ris building in Oak Park with
an advance reservation; call
967-4030.

Simcha, the organization
for Jewish lesbians, gay men,
partners and friends, holds
Friday night services the
third Friday of the month.
Oct. 7 will be the Yom Kip-
pur break-the-fast potluck.
Oct. 11 will be a sukkah
building at a member's home.
Oct. 16 will be the regular
Oneg Shabbat service.
