Israel Peace Medal, in
recognition of his service to
the Health Professionals com-
munity and to Israel.
The Rev. Eiklor, who wa,
born and raised in Chicago,
served in the U.S. Maria
Corps in the Far East. In
1957, he joined Christians in
Action International,
Worldwide Christian Mission,
becoming vice president. An
ordained minister since 1962,
the Rev. Eiklor establish_ e
the Shalom Fellowship in
1979 located originally in
Keene, N.H.
During the Lebanon con-
flict, he was selected by the
National Christian Leader-
ship Conference for Israel in
New York to represent New
Hampshire on a fact-finding
journey to Israel and
Lebanon.
The Rev. Eiklor was invited
as a delegate to the 198 ,:
Third World Conference for
Soviet Jewry in Jerusakm
where he met with former
Prime Minister Menachem
Begin and other key Israeli
and U.S. government officials.
