Frank Eiklor, president of Shalom Fellowship, the broadcasting and conference center in Costa Mesa, Calif., will speak at the Professional Health Services Dinner 6 p.m. Sept. 21 in the Detroit Westin Hotel on behalf of the IsraA Bond campaign. Richard E. Whitmer, presi- dent and CEO of Blue Crc and Blue Shield of Michigan will be honored with Israel Peace Medal, in recognition of his service to the Health Professionals com- munity and to Israel. The Rev. Eiklor, who wa, born and raised in Chicago, served in the U.S. Maria Corps in the Far East. In 1957, he joined Christians in Action International, Worldwide Christian Mission, becoming vice president. An ordained minister since 1962, the Rev. Eiklor establish_ e the Shalom Fellowship in 1979 located originally in Keene, N.H. During the Lebanon con- flict, he was selected by the National Christian Leader- ship Conference for Israel in New York to represent New Hampshire on a fact-finding journey to Israel and Lebanon.
