Is Program Topic

"Our
Community's
Response to AIDS: Opening
our Eyes, Ears and Hearts"
will be the topic of the next
Food for Thought breakfast,
sponsored by the Jewish
Federation Women's Division,
Sept. 23 at Congregation
Beth Abraham Hillel Moses.
The 9:15 a.m. gathering
will feature Rabbi Arnie
Sleutelberg, an advocate for
educating the Jewish com-
munity about AIDS and
assisting those stricken by it;
and Pola Friedman, an ad-
ministrative liaison at Sinai
Hospital.
Food for Thought is a forum
to educate the participants on
important Jewish issues and
to reach out to women not yet
involved in Women's Division.
Registration begins at 9:15
a.m. with breakfast promptly
at 9:30. The program starts at
10 a.m. Babysitting will be
available upon request for
children 2 1/2 or older.
There is a charge for the
event, and there will be no
solicitation of gifts. For reser-

Luncheon

The National Council of
Jewish Women, Greater
Detroit Section, will launch
its fall season with an open-
ing luncheon and fashion
show 10 a.m. Sept. 15 at Adat
Shalom.

pottery, jewelry, purses, hand-
made children's clothing,
designer chocolate, books, sta-
tionery and Judaica will be
available.

munity which traces its

her parents, Jacob and Judith
