We are proud of the artful cleaning and the
fine finish our pressing gives your clothes. But
nothing ruins our work like hanging on a
hanger in a crowded closet. So we stuff each
garment with tissue paper to help keep the fine
pressed finish. We stuff the sleeves, body and
collar with tissue paper so that the garment
will be ready to go when you are.

ington chapter of the Ameri-
can Jewish Committee.
Ms. Kelly issued the proc-
lamation with little fanfare
only days after it had been
rejected by the City Council.
A subsequent editorial in
the Washington Post called it
"one of the most profoundly
disappointing acts of her
administration" that sent
the wrong message to the
city about prejudice and an-
ti-Semitism. The editorial
included some of Mr.
Muhammed's virulently an-
ti-Jewish remarks.
But Ms. Kelly demon-
strated at the meeting that
she "seems to put racial and
intergroup harmony near
the top of her agenda," said
Mr. Weintraub.
He said the mayor pledged
to "keep the doors open" to
the Jewish groups and work
more closely with them in
the future.
Teri Gross, associate direc-
eon of the regional office of
the Anti-Defamation
ieague, who was also pre-
ent at the meeting, said the
groups felt satisfied that
here had been "a very can-
'A and frank discussion."

Palestinians
In Peace Talks

Jerusalem (JTA) — In an-
other sign of the Labor
government's more flexible
stance on the peace process,
Israel now appears to be
ready to accept the par-
ticipation of "diaspora Pa-
lestinians" in all five work-
i n g groups of the
multilateral talks on re-
gional issues.
A strong hint to this effect
was made by Foreign Min-
ister Shimon Peres in a tele-
* vision interview.
"We will not agree to the
(Palestinian) 'right of
• turn' becoming an agenda
.sue," Mr. Peres declared.
But he said the Palestin-
ians' demand that represen-
itives from outside the ad-
tnistered territories be
towed to participate in the
zgotiations is a problem
, at could be "overcome by
..:chnical means."
The previous Israeli
•vernment boycotted two of
e five working groups —
or_ refugees and on economic
— because the
LLAited States and Russia
it ‘,1.ted diaspora Palestin-
ians to take part in them.
Jerusalem explained at
the time that the participa-
..ion of representatives from
outside the administered
territories implied a certain
recognition of the "right of
return" and contravened the
talks' framework.
