The Cultural Arts Division
of Parks and Recreation will
sponsor a series of free sum-
mer concerts June 24-Aug. 26.
The "Gazebo" series, held 7
p.m. every Wednesday night
at the Burgh Site, Civic
Center Drive and Berg Road,
will provide entertainment
with music from the past,

Revolutionary and Civil wars.
Many of the groups will ap-
pear in authentic reproduc-
tions of clothing worn during
the period.
A children's series will be
presented with each Gazebo
concert. Children will be
supervised and entertained
with live presentations, story-
tellers, and singing grups.
Refreshments will be sold at
each concert.
A second half of the sum-
mer concert series sponsored
by Cultural Arts will be the
Sun Bowl concert series.
These concerts will feature a
variety of contemporary
music, from country to soft
rock and steel band calypso,
held in the grassy ampi-
theater behind the Pruden-
tial Town Center. Picnics are
permitted.
The Sun Bowl concerts will
be held 7 p.m. Sunday
evenings.

Teddy Bear
Beach Party
West Bloomfield Parks and
Recreation's annual Teddy
Bear Beach Party will be held
11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. July 1 at
Bloomer Park, Richardson
Road east of Haggerty Road
in West Bloomfield. It is for
children 3-8.
Children should come dress-
ed in their wildest shorts and
T-shirts and should bring
their own lunches. Ice cream
and drinks will be provided,
plus a visit from a walking,
talking and paw-shaking Mr.
Teddy.
To register, call Parks and
Recreation, 334-5660. There
is a charge and all must be
registered by June 26.
