The 7th Annual Star
Spangled Southfield Festival
will be held June 24-July 4
with activities for the whole
family.
Southfield Parks and
Recreation will offer events
for kids, dances for all ages,
music and art. Most activities
will take place at the South-
field Civic Center and at the
Historic Burgh Site. Others
will be at the Prudential
Town Center and Northland
Theatre.
South Oakland Concert
Band will perform 7 p.m.
June 24 at the Burgh Gazebo.
Refreshments will be
available for purchase.
The Nostalgia Ball will be
held 7 p.m. June 25 at the
Civic Center Pavilion. There
is a charge. Tickets are
available at the Southfield
Parks and Recreation Front
Desk, Southfield Senior Adult
Center and Continental.
Cablevision offices.
An Art and Jazz Affair will
be 5-10 p.m. June 26 at the
Burgh Site. The evening's
featured act will be the Bud-
dy Budson Band.
A Focus on Southfield
Photo Contest will be con-
ducted 5-10 p.m. June 26 at
the Burgh Site.
A pre Mini Grand Prix par-
ty will be held 7-11:30 p.m.
June 26 at the Civic Center
Pavilion. Proceeds will
benefit the Arthritis
Foundation.
Kids Day will be held 9:30-5
p.m. June 27 on the Civic
Center front lawn.
A 3rd annual Mini Grand
Prix for Arthritis will be 10
a.m.-6 p.m. June 27 at
Prudential Town Center.
A second Art and Jazz Af-
fair will be held noon-5 p.m.
June 27 at the Burgh Site.
The jazz line-up features the
New York Force and Gray-
stone Musicians Jazz
Orchestra.
A Wild Video Dance Party
will take place 7-11 p.m. June
27 at the Civic Center Arena.
There is a charge. A valid
photo ID is required.
An Affair to Remember will
be held 8 p.m.-midnight June
27 at the Burgh Church. At-
tendees at this black-tie
(optional) affair will en-
joy a live band, dancing,
cash bar and complimentary
hors d'oeuvres, sweets table
and gourmet coffees in the
restored church building. The
first 100 tickets purchased
will receive a free gift. Pro-
ceeds benefit SRO Produc-
tions, a non-profit civic
theatre.
