Maisels is an active partici-

state in extemporaneous
speaking for forensics. He has
also played soccer for four
years and is a National Merit
Scholar. He plans,to travel in
Israel for a year on the Young
Judaean Year Course pro-
gram before studying at
Brown University.
Matasar is a National Merit
Scholar, a Presidential
Scholar finalist, on the Free
Press All-State Academic
Team, and a USA Today Na-
tional Academic Team
nominee. He was co-captain of
Country Day's state cham-
pion debate and state runner-
up Quiz Bowl teams. He at-
tends Shaarey Zedek high
school. He will attend Har-
vard University.
McGlinnen has played
violin in the school orchestra
for four years, and is captain
of the marching band color
guard. She is active in the
National Honor Society. She
has worked for the last two
years at the Agency for
Jewish Education nursery
day camp and will be return-
ing there this summer. She
will attend the University of
Michigan.
Meisner plans to enter a pre-
medical program at the
University of Michigan. He
received the Andover High
School Chemistry Award,
three certificates of achieve-
ment and a certificate of
recognition from Phi Beta
Kappa. He has participated in
the WBFH Radio staff for the
past two years, and is now
operations manager, the
highest student position. He
is a member of Congregation
Shaarey Zedek.
Monash is the top-ranked
senior at North Farmington.
He is a member of Phi Beta
Kappa, the National Honor
Society and received the
Michigan Regents-Alumni
Scholar Merit Award. A past
Student Board president, he
has been involved in extra-
curricular activities in-
cluding varsity tennis, varsi-
ty football, and intramural
basketball and volleyball. He
will attend the University of
Michigan.

Paletz is active in band and
orchestra, Aquilla literary
magazine, drama and French
clubs, National Honor Socie-
ty, National Art Honor Socie-
ty, Interact, MSTY and Thrn-
ple Israel Religious School.
She will be delivering the ser-
mon at Temple Israel's
graduation. She attended
UAHC Leadership Academy
at Kutz Camp and will be
returning to Interlochen this
year. She will attend the
University of Michigan.
Pallos is captain of the ten-
nis team. He was leading per-
cussionist in marching, pep,
symphony and jazz bands. He
is drummer of his own rock
group, Amoeba Junction. He
tutors Spanish and math, and
has been in honors math four
years. He is a member of Na-
tional Honor Society and con-
firmation graduate of Con-
gregation Shir Tikvah, Troy.
He plans to study music and
business.
Paster left high school a
semester early to begin
chemistry studies at Antioch
College. She plans to go to
medical school and become a
psychiatrist. She will transfer
to the University of Michigan
this fall.. In high school, she
was active in marching band,
Student Enterprise Theatre,
and a contributor to the
literary magazine. She has
embarked on an independent
study of Jewish literature.

Nachlas is Phi Beta Kappa
and recipient of the Michigan
Competitive Scholarship. She
is co-head of the G'milus
Chesed Group, a school ser-
vice providing aid to the
elderly and infirm. She also
co-headed the costume com-
mittee for the school's annual
production. She tutors in
algebra and leads local Shab-
bat groups. In the fall, she
will study in Bais Chana, Sa-
fed, Israel.
Ornstein is editor-in-chief of
his high school newspaper,
the Catalyst, and senior class
treasurer. He is Aleph Sopher
of Michigan Region AZA and
newspaper editor for Central
Region United Synagogue
Youth. He is captain of the
Quiz Bowl team, treasurer of
Group for Advancement of the
Planet and a member of In-
teract and the National
Honor Society. He will attend
the University of Pennsyl-
vania.
