Israel's water crisis
is not over!
• More dams and reservoirs are needed to contain
scarce rainfall.
• Most of the water from recent storms ran off to
the Mediterranean and Dead Seas.

JNF's Operation Promised Land campaign today!
JNF is building dams and reservoirs
throughout Israel!
Water is life! Give life to the land!
• Israel's underground aquifers are still depleted.
• The Jezreel Valley, Israel's "breadbasket," is still
threatened by water cutbacks.

Chiropractic Health Hints
WITH DR. STANLEY LEVINE, D.C.
THE RESULTS ARE IN.
CHIROPRACTIC MORE EFFECTIVE
In this study made by the Medical Research Council, chiroprac-
tic treatment was shown to be more effective than hospital outpa-
tient management. The results were especially significant for patients
with chronic or severe back pain. This is one of the only studies
that demonstrates the effectiveness of chiropractic care on a long-
term basis. As the abstract states: "Conclusions — For patients with
low back pain in whom manipulation is not contradicted, chiroprac-
tic almost certainly confers worthwhile, long-term benefit in com-
parison with hospital outpatient management. The benefit is seen
mainly in those with chronic or severe pain.
This particular study has made a very strong case for the inclusion of chiropractic
care in the National Health Service of Great Britain. This research illustrates the cost ef-
fectiveness of the inclusion of chiropractic treatment in national health care as well as
supporting the effectiveness of chiropractic treatment.
Another point of great interst is the statement that the effects of chiropractic treat-
ment seems to be long-term, as the study showed no return to pre-treatment pain levels
during the two years of follow-up.
