Aish HaTorah
Courses, Lecture

Aish HaTorah will start
another crash-course series,
starting June 1 for four two-
hour sessions. The first-level
reading class will take place_
with Mrs. Laya Rosenberg at- 1
Young Israel of Southfield.
Graduates of this course
will be able to recognize, read
and understand several corn-
mon prayers, Hebrew phrases c
and words.
The course in Jewish con
cepts also will begin that
week. Participants will learn')
the Jewish views of sexuality,
the place of ritual in Judaism,
the Shabbat and the soul.
These classes will be held at
Congregation Ohel Moed
West Bloomfield.
There is no charge for the
classes. To register, call the

Aish HaTorah's annual
public lecture series will host,
Rabbi Yaakov Weinberg, the
Dean of Ner Israel Rabbinical
College, Baltimore. Rabbi
Weinberg will speak 7:30 p.m.
May 31 at the Beth Jacob
School For Girls. His topic is
"How Can a Rational Human
Being Accept the Divine
Origin of the Torah?"

Children's Hospital
Plans Fund-Raisers,-,

Activities are being plann-
ed for the week of June 1 to
benefit the Racing For Kids
commitment to cardiology at
Children's Hospital
Michigan.

facilities throughout the
country.
