Nazi Widow
Must Pay Fine
Amsterdam (JTA) — The
widow of a Dutch Nazi lost
her appeal against a $2,500
fine imposed for the anti-
Semitic passages in her
autobiographical book In
Search of My Wedding Ring,
published last year.
The Higher District Court
in Arnhem upheld the pen-
alty a lower court imposed
on Flora Rost van Tonn-
ingen, whose book sought to
justify her late husband,
Meinoud Rost van Tonn-
ingen, one of the most noto-
rious Nazis in Holland.
The wealthy couple often
entertained Dutch and other
neo-Nazis at their villa, a
practice the widow con-
tinued after her husband's
death.
She appealed against the
Lower District Court's
judgment on grounds that
she was unable to pay the
fine.

Israeli Missle
Passes Test
Tel Aviv (JTA) — An
Israeli-designed seaborne
missile 10 years in the mak-
ing has successfully passed
its acceptance trials by the
navy.
Known as the Barak, the
7-foot long, 189-lb. weapon
will be mounted on Israel's
new Saar-5 class missile
boats and possibly on the
upgraded Saar-4s. It has al-
ready been sold to two un-
disclosed foreign navies.
The Barak, with an effec-
tive range of 500 yards to 6
miles, is intended for defense
against sea or air attack. It
was developed by the state-
owned Rafael Weapons De-
velopment - Authority and
built by Israel Aircraft In-
dustries, another state
enterprise.
Its advanced hostile-
missile identification radar
and fire control system was
designed and built by Elta,
an IAI subsidiary.
The Barak, which succeed-
ed in destroying a dummy
missile in midair last week,
had passed two previous
tests, a far cry from the
U.S.-financed Arrow (Hetz)
anti-missile missile, which
has flunked out to date.
