Juried Art Fair
Set For Greektown

The Greektown Merchants
Association in cooperation
with the Michigan Guild of
Artists and Artisans will pre-
sent a juried art fair on the
streets of Greektown 11
a.m.-10 p.m. May 1-3.
Over 150 professional fine
artists and contemporary
craftspeople from throughout
the Midwest will present an
array of art work ranging
from functional and
sculptural ceramics, painting,
photography, handmade
paper and toys to glassworks,
wearable and decorative fiber,
and handcrafted jewelry.
The Imagination Station, a
free family-art activity area,
provides an opportunity for
the family to test creative
talents at the painting wall,
street chalk drawing, by
decorating masks or in mak-
ing alternative jewelry. Free
long distance phone calls will
be available in several
locations.
In addition to the authentic
Greek cuisine offered by
many of the restaurants sur-
rounding the art fair, visitors
may shop in the specialty
shops of Trappers Alley or
visit the world's largest in-
door waterfall at the Interna-
tional Center.
