Chabad Center
Sets Shabbaton

Bais Chabad Thrall Center
will hold a spring Shabbaton
May 15-17 at the Torah
Center, 5595 West Maple
Road, West Bloomfield. The
theme will be "Body And
Soul."
Scholar in residence will be
Michel Abehsera, a
Moroccan-born world authori-
ty on microbiotics and
mystical philosophy. Mr.
Abehsera has written seven
books on microbiotic cooking.
The Shabbaton program
will begin Friday night with
the traditional Shabbat din-
ner. Mr. Abehsera will speak
on "The Jew As Healer —
Curing Through Plants, Diet,
And Speech."
At the Shabbat buffet
lunch, Mr. Abehsera will talk
on "The Possible Man." He
will talk also at the Torah
Center 7:30 p.m. May 17 on
"Body And Soul — A Prac-
tical and Mystical Union." He
will be available for private
consultations that day.

Adat Shalom
Nursery Program

The Adat Shalom Nursery
School will present a
"Mishpachah" morning for
preschoolers and their
families 10 a.m.-noon May 3
at the synagogue.
Through crafts and other
activities, adults and children
will experience "Bible Heroes
I Can Be."
The event is open to the
community. It is planned in
cooperation with Jewish Ex-
periences For Families. There
is a per family charge for craft
materials. For reservations by
April 27, call the Nursery
School, 851-5105.
