"The Art of Food and
Wine" at the temple
Feb. 29 with an evening of
gourmet food, wine and dan-
cing. More than 1,000
patrons attended the gala
event, which also featured a
silent auction and raffle.
Proceeds from the event
benefit the educational and
community programs of the
temple.
Chairman Richard Ger-
shenson was beaming
about the success of the eve-
ning. "I was concerned about
the coordination and organ-
ization of the the party, but
the volunteer staff of 130
were so professional.
Cloverleaf Market and the
Lutfy family really helped
with the core of the party."
Mr. Gershenson attributes
part of the success of the
evening to the ticket price of
$37.50 per person.
Guests were greeted by
valet parking and entered
into a festive foyer of
balloons shaped in grape
clusters. The atrium area
