Ms. Cardin dresses as well as
Raisa, and she's already met
Gorby in Moscow. Where will
their dacha be? Pikesville or
Moscow-on-the-Hudson?

Barbra Streisand and
Alan Dershowitz

In Prince of Tides, Ms.
Streisand's character says
she's looking for a "nice Jew-

handle the Princess of
Chutzpah, and that's the
King of Chutzpah himself—
the author/lawyer/professor/
self-promoter/columnist/all-

Dershowitz.

Isn't there one more worth carrying on?

Friday night. The end of the week. The beginning
of Shabbat. A time to relax, reflect and renew. And as much a part of
this tradition as the candles and the challah was knowing the weekly
Jewish News had also arrived.
It brought news about the community, the nation
and the world. Today, that tradition hasn't changed. In fact, it's gotten
better. Each week award-winning journalists combine the warmth of
community with world issues using candor and compassion to
strengthen Jewish identity and...tradition.
Keep the tradition alive. GiVe a Jewish News
subscription to a friend, a relative, as a special gift. If you don't
subscribe, (and you find yourself always reading someone else's copy)
maybe it's time to start your own tradition. The Jewish News. It's a
tradition worth keeping.

I YOUTH

Youth Shabbat
At Shaarey Zedek

TRADITION.

Can't make up your mind,
Mario? Ms. Abzug would be a
great role model. She's stub-
bornly, adamantly, ir-
refutably decisive. Hang
around with her for a few
days, Mr. Governor, and
you'll see how quickly some
people resolve to get from
here-to-there.
King David and Princess
Di
He had a roving eye, even
after bedding Bathsheba,
and the supermarket tabloids
say that she is none too happy
with Bonny Prince Charles.
She can help him write some
psalms, and he can give her
the kind of attention she
craves from her present royal
spouse.
